PAINTING ON CANVAS BY YUNIZAR

I choose art because this is the only skill that I like and capable of doing. Maybe that is the only reason up to now. I use to think that skill could never develop into a profession. When I arrived in Djogja, I realized that painting could become a profession. What inspired my painting is the environment. I am not really into the objects in my surrounding.What inspire me most are the objects attached to me such as trees, flower, and figures. Still, I do not directly accept them as they are, I made some changes including by deforming the trees and etc. No matter that, I consider an object as the trigger to create. Characteristics are not to be found, I don't think that I have special characteristics. 

However, since people can tell me from my scratch or touch. They consider it automatically as my characteristics. I do not mean to make special characteristics from my scratch or colour. So far, I don't think that character has to be made by creating same theme. I think it has to be natural. If I create something.It will automatically have a link between each other. These things start from likeness I guess. I see some inscription or anything which make me contented. And I respond to it with my own way. It is hard to express.

Actually, my media does not have to be a canvas. However, so far canvas is the easiest to get. I think painting on canvas is enough although it is not impossible to use other media. Therefore, I currently use canvas and limited papers. Most of my big paintings are on canvas. It is including expression maybe. My satisfaction level in painting is correlated to certain size. If I paint in small paper, I will not be satisfied.

I start painting since early morning. Sometimes it flows smoothly and fast. Sometimes I get stuck and leave it to continue and repeat it after several days to make it perfect. If it does not turn out to be maximum based on my opinion I will block it and repaint it. If I am in the mood, I can finish it in a day or two. Mostly, there is no exact measurement. The measurement is likeness and satisfaction. I paint for my own satisfaction instead of people's opinion. If I am satisfied I think it is already maximal. (sumber : youtube indoart)
