FENCE ART [ENTANG WIHARSO]

FLOATING ISLAND BY ETANG WIHARSO

from youtube indoart

Entang Wiharso was born in Tegal, Central Java, August 19, 1967. He completed his art education at the Department of Painting, ISI Yogyakarta in 1994.

Entang's works include paintings, sculptures, installations and performance art. His work is an expanse of a world that is infinite, dissolved in one another, full of juxtaposition: the past and the present, fairy tales and daily life, history and myth, with figures moving between realism and surrealism. He absorbed Javanese culture and blended it with the latest world culture, transformed into a kind of three-dimensional work that had not completely abandoned its dual character. Meanwhile, in a number of performance arts he holds, Entang tries to expand fine arts into the theater area and provides us with entertaining parodies and social criticism.
